Privacy Policy
Effective September 27, 2026. Unscored is currently a limited beta. This policy explains the information used to operate the service.
Information we collect
- Account information such as your email address, username, password-managed account identifier, and optional profile picture.
- Your movie history, ratings, reviews, lists, favorites, follows, recommendation feedback, streaming preferences, and optional home-theater name and ZIP code.
- Movie-import information from files you choose to upload, including titles, dates watched, ratings, reviews, and source identifiers.
- First-party product events such as account activation, import outcomes, recommendation opens, watchlist adds, ratings, and return visits. Analytics use a one-way account identifier and do not store review text, search terms, or email addresses.
- Feedback, member reports, and basic technical information needed for security, debugging, and service operation.
How we use it
We use this information to provide accounts, imports, recommendations, social features, support, abuse prevention, and product improvement. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Who processes it
The service uses OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure for hosting, Supabase for account authentication, and TMDB, Wikidata, and Wikipedia for movie information. Opening provider links or trailers may send you to third-party services governed by their own policies.
Visibility and control
Your email address is not shown to other members. Public profiles may expose your username, profile picture, movie activity, reviews, and public lists. You can make your profile private, export your information, block or report members, and request deletion from Account & privacy.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Deleting your account removes Unscored profile and library data, including first-party analytics associated with the account's one-way identifier. If immediate removal from the authentication provider is temporarily unavailable, that deletion is queued for completion. Security logs and resolved reports may be retained for a limited period when reasonably necessary to protect the service.
Children
Unscored is not intended for children under 13. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, use the service only with permission from a parent or guardian.

Terms of Use

Beta service
Unscored is an early beta. Features, availability, recommendations, and stored data may change, fail, or be discontinued. Keep your own copy of information you cannot afford to lose.
Your account and content
You are responsible for your account and the content you submit. You keep ownership of your reviews, lists, and other original content. You grant Unscored a limited license to store, process, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate and improve the service according to your visibility settings.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, access another person’s account, scrape or overload the service, evade safety controls, impersonate others, or submit unlawful, abusive, infringing, or deceptive content.
Recommendations and third parties
Recommendations are suggestions, not guarantees of quality, suitability, availability, or accuracy. Movie information, trailers, ticketing, and streaming links may come from third parties and can be incomplete or outdated.
Enforcement and changes
We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms or threaten the service or its users. We may update these terms as the beta changes; material updates will be identified in the app.
Disclaimer
The beta is provided as available, without warranties to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
Credits & data sources
Movie metadata, imagery, trailers, release information, and watch-provider availability are supplied in part by The Movie Database (TMDB). Streaming availability data supplied through TMDB is powered by JustWatch.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Some imported-title matching and supplemental movie information may use Wikidata and Wikipedia. Letterboxd, IMDb, and Trakt are supported as import sources; Unscored is not affiliated with or endorsed by those services.
